Named after the visionary philanthropist Rao Kamla Singh, the college has grown from a humble beginning to become one of the most respected educational institutions in Haryana.
Affiliated with Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), the college operates on a sprawling campus equipped with modern infrastructure, well-stocked libraries, advanced laboratories, and comprehensive sports facilities.

The college was established by visionary leaders of Kaithal with the noble aim of providing higher education to the youth of the region. Named after Rao Kamla Singh, it started with just 3 departments and 200 students.
The college expanded significantly with the addition of Science and Commerce departments. New laboratories were built and the library was enriched with thousands of books and journals.
Recognizing the growing demand for advanced education, the college introduced postgraduate programs in multiple disciplines including MA, M.Sc, and M.Com.
The college embraced technology with the introduction of BCA program, computer labs, and internet connectivity. Smart classrooms were gradually introduced across departments.
RKSD College achieved a significant milestone by receiving accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), recognizing the quality of education and infrastructure.
