The Central Library of RKSD College is the intellectual heart of the institution. Spread across a spacious, well-ventilated two-story building, the library houses an extensive collection of over 50,000 books, hundreds of journals, magazines, newspapers, and a vast repository of digital resources.
Established alongside the college in 1954, the library has grown exponentially over five decades. It serves as a vital resource center for students, faculty, and research scholars, providing access to knowledge across all disciplines taught at the college.
The library operates on an open-access system, allowing students to browse and select books directly from the shelves. With comfortable seating for 200+ readers, air-conditioned reading halls, and extended operating hours during examination periods, it truly serves as a second home for studious minds.

20 computer terminals with high-speed internet for accessing INFLIBNET, N-LIST, e-journals, and online databases. Students can also access OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) to search the library collection.
Current issues of all subscribed journals, magazines, and newspapers are displayed on reading stands. Back issues are systematically bound and preserved for archival reference and research purposes.
Dedicated section for students preparing for UPSC, HCS, SSC, Banking, and other competitive exams with curated collections, previous year papers, and a quiet study environment for focused preparation.
A special facility for economically weaker students where textbooks are issued for the entire semester free of cost. Over 2,000 books are distributed annually through this welfare scheme to ensure no student is left behind.

Students can borrow up to 3 books for 14 days. Faculty members can borrow up to 10 books. Renewals available online or at the circulation desk.
